Feminist SF Short Story platforms?
I'm not a fan of short stories, so I'm not hugely familiar with the various magazines/zines/anthology options out there. This is problematic because I got inspired to write a short story, but I'm struggling to figure out the best options for submitting it. It's dark, futuristic...along the lines of Handmaid's tale, but definitely not the same. Setting is mostly a colony on the moon. I've tried the major SF mags that do soft SF (Asimov's, Clarkesworld, The Magazine of F & SF, will be submitting to Strange Horizons when they open today.) I have a few others on my list, but am trying to avoid the ones that pay "per piece"...or at least save them for last ha ha! I would love to find a feminist or at least female-focused SF platform, but all the ones I'm finding are closed indefinitely.
The story is about 6,000 words. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
