A nonprofit organization serving writers, editors, and publishers and aspiring publishing professionals who are women and historically excluded and marginalized genders including but not limited to people who are genderqueer, genderfluid, and gender nonconforming. (Trans women are women!)

Equal recognition, pay, and opportunity for women and historically excluded and marginalized genders writing, editing, and publishing in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other speculative genres. 

Our Goals are…

Broad Universe's goals support women and historically excluded and marginalized genders writing, editing, and publishing in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other speculative fiction by:

1. Promoting our Supporters’ work.

2. Educating the speculative-fiction community, the public and our Supporters about the creative contributions of women and historically excluded and marginalized genders writing, editing and publishing in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other speculative genres.

3. Nurturing and growing a professional community and fan base that supports our mission.

4. Offering resources for writers and publishing professionals at every level who are female and historically excluded and marginalized genders.
