Selling your Work at the Broad Universe Table

Authors desiring to sell their work at a BU table must be female members of Broad Universe at the $30/year level. If you are not currently a member, a Level 1 membership may be completed when you drop off your books. Going to the website in advance will save time and confusion so, if you need to re-up, or join for the first time, please do it using the link on the BU website, http://www.broaduniverse.org/member/memberform.html. The membership year is June 1 to May 31. Check on your membership status by sending an inquiry to: money(at)broaduniverse.org

We are all volunteers. We sell your books on consignment. You get 100% of the sale price you set and we take care of collecting sales tax. Books can be in-print, out-of-print, e-books, CDs, big house, small press, anthology or magazine in which your work appears, self-published, POD, whatever. The books:

must be science fiction/fantasy/horror
must be written by a woman member of BU (level 1)
or an anthology edited by a woman member of BU (level 1)
or if published by a woman, (BU level 1 member) the book must have a significant content by women.

Authors can sell copies of magazines or anthologies in which their work is published. These authors must also be female members of BU at the $30 a year level.

We have gold stickers: "Signed by Author" to place on your book covers if you would like to use them.

To find out if Broad Universe will have a table at a particular convention, consult the events page. Any event listed will include a description of the BU presence at the convention (e.g. rapid reading, table, etc.). Once the event gets close, if BU will be hosting a table, a link to the booktable form and instructions will be made available. Download the instructions for specifics on where to send your books, where to send the booktable form, and how to volunteer at the table. Download the form and fill it out for your materials.
